The opening event of the project entitled "Prevention Methods for Reducing Peer Harassment" (PP Y H) took place on November 15, 2024 in Szeged, at the Rector's Office of the University of Szeged.
The event began with a welcoming speech by Prof. Dr. Ildikó Csóka, the Strategic Director General of the University of Szeged, who highlighted the importance of the project and the significance of cross-border cooperation.
Afterwards, Norbert László Kosznai, the project's lead partner and the professional leader of the Southern Great Plain Youth Lifestyle and Leisure Foundation, presented the basic objectives of the project and the tasks undertaken by the foundation. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of the adaptability of prevention methods among young people.
Tünde Dencs Ricz, the professional leader of the ANTROPOS Mental Health Association, presented the organization's role in the project, with particular attention to mental health approaches.
Zsófia Hulló, the professional leader of the “Iuventus Ventus” Association, gave a presentation on the plans for implementing local community-based programs.
Following the presentations, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions, which initiated a useful dialogue about the further steps of the project. The event ended with a coffee break, where the participants could continue the exchange of ideas in the form of an informal conversation.
The opening event gave a successful start to the project, which hopefully will effectively contribute to reducing peer bullying in both Hungary and Serbia.
